Shield is an optional add-on for Guest WiFi and Staff WiFi. It combines threat protection and content policy with reduced advertising and tracking traffic.
Domain-based protection
Domain Name System (DNS) filtering checks the internet domains a device requests and blocks those covered by the policy. It works at network level rather than as a browser extension.
Category and exception controls
Select blocked categories, then maintain permitted and blocked domain lists for your venue. Use group, area and time settings to distinguish browsing needs without creating a single inflexible rule for everyone.
A complementary security control
Shield filters network browsing. Pair it with the relevant Guest access choices or Staff work-account authentication; filtering does not replace identity management or the rest of your network security.
