Ferries & Cruise Ships WiFi that lifts work off your team.
Every password reset, portal complaint and "is the WiFi down?" call is time someone could have spent on the work you actually hired them for. The network should answer those before they reach a human.
Seasonal contracts end and the WiFi access does not.
The tickets that never get raised, and the faults you see before anyone phones about them.
What already works for operations & facilities
High-density connectivity across the terminal, with Paid WiFi run as a revenue line instead of a cost.
Wired into the systems you already run
Bolt-ons that pay their way
Purple’s Paid WiFi, Insight Surveys and AI Shield are real revenue, research and safety layers. Beyond can wire them into your systems — one question at the login that catches how a journey went while the passenger is still on it, a premium lane for the traveller who has to work, and filtering set to what a public waiting area should carry.
A key that knows the booking
Purple gives every vehicle, lounge and crew area its own private network. Beyond can tie that key’s whole life to your fleet and rostering systems — issued when a unit enters service, ended when it comes out, so onboard payment and operational kit never share a lane with passenger devices.
What we do with it
We wrote our own HMAC-signed client for Purple’s Company API and run it in production — webhooks for live capture, plus a nightly sweep that reconciles whatever the stream missed. Every outbound message passes one consent gate, so POPIA is enforced in the send path rather than on the policy page.
Five zones, five owners
The same five zones the city map shows for your operation — and the department that owns each one.
Terminal & boarding
The wait before the gangway is long enough to sign in, so nobody is queueing at a desk to do it.
Owned by Front of house
Decks & lounges
The public spaces, where one link is shared for hours at a time.
Owned by Passenger experience
Cabins
A private network per cabin, so a family's own devices behave the way they do at home.
Owned by IT & network
Bars, shops & excursions
Card machines on their own lane, away from passenger WiFi.
Owned by Commercial
Bridge & ship systems
The traffic that must never queue behind a film — kept off the passenger lane entirely.
Owned by Ship operations
Proven platform, deployed by people you can meet in person
Purple runs the guest WiFi for some of the biggest names in retail, banking, hospitality and sport. Beyond's own team deploys it, integrates it and supports it from South Africa. Your ferries run on that team.
